“We care, we run” is a running event that aims to promote shared values and encourage participants to commit to solving any social, environmental or economic issues they care about.
It precedes this year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. We care about a world free from violence. What about you?
"19.89 - 3 Decades in 1 Frame" Exhibition
Running in other's shoes
This is the first activity of the event. Participants will not use their own running shoes. Instead, they will have to run in others’ shoes provided by the organizer. High heels for a man, flat big shoes for a woman, doll shoes for a boy, etc. Let’s “put yourself in someone else’s shoes”, literally, to feel the power of empathy.
19.89 - 3 Decades in 1 Frame exhibition
The best way to understand about an organisation is to get to know its staff and the people it serves. 19.89 – 3 Decades in 1 Frame is an outdoor exhibition featuring 30 stories with photos of (past and present) employees, direct and indirect participants in CARE projects, and partners from all over the country. You will find joy, sadness, empathy and much more in 19.89 – 3 Decades in 1 Frame stories.
The wall of care
A wall will be set up near the main stage, but not to be a barrier. The wall at “We Care, We Run” event will be a canvas for you to write about the things you care about the most. Each brick on the wall will represent an issue that you care about. Together, we can build a wall of sharing and connection.
Run around the lake
This is the main activity of the event. With the aim of connecting people and promoting shared values, each participant will be an activist for a world of hope.
